"Peace" is the First Festival of Contemporary Art dedicated to Peace, which will be dedicated to a prestigious catalog reserved to the artists involved in the project, including the works of the great masters of the '900 that will be exhibited simultaneously in the spaces of the Museum of Turin MIIT . The exhibition is not to forget the present and dramatic situations of war in the world, the tragic events of last January in France, the wars fought with weapons that bloody the planet, but also those fought every day in the name of money, selfishness , of faith, of power, of success.
An exhibition of complaint, to involve the art, which can not remain indifferent in the face of such tragedy and that, with its expressive power and symbolic, with its profound and universal language can and must contribute to the solution, at least in part, problems. The exhibition has been included in the programming of the Museum MIIT at this time also to remember the famous Treaty of Paris peace treaties signed in Paris February 10, 1947 after the end of World War II, reflecting, warning and hope that 'utopia of peace and unity can really be accomplished in the future, not only on paper but in reality. Peace agreement so as gestural energy, such as color, understood as love and beauty, as a unit, integration and tolerance, but also understood as participation of men and women around the world in a common goal. The theme of the exhibition thus was born and developed already in the only participation of artists invited from around the world to join the event. There are many and various items that can help remind, encourage, represent, symbolically or figuratively, such a broad social issue and art must be in the front row to witness to his commitment. For this, the Museum MIIT has decided to create a project entirely devoted to peace and to his hopes and utopias, with the understanding that beauty can save the world, as Dostoevskij wrote.
