Simona Galeotti. A gaze during twenty years

Joyful and generous natured, Simona Galeotti the artistic vocation he had genetically dowry from her mother, a passionate collector of beautiful  and strange things of Wunderkammer; while the method and techniques of making art, Simon has learned by studying them at the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti of Turin, having as a teacher, first and foremost, Nicola Maria Martino, painter and poet, long-time director of the Academy of Sassari, and 2012-2013 also government commissioner at the Academy of Turin, and then, on the side of figurative painting, followed by years with dedication by Ottavio Mazzonis.
But let's stay with our Simona with this exhibition, the format of small retrospective retraces the past twenty years of activity, during which she is adept at figurative painting, in particular the genre of portraiture, showing skill and sensitivity in take the inner expression, the animus of the subject, revealing the profound nature, almost unconscious: sweet, rebellious, quiet, sly, sensual, sensitive ... But there are also other works, united by Leit Motiv-of figurative, interpreted in a vaguely neo-surrealist, with clouds drifting in the sky of a room; in other cases declined in an almost esoteric, like when Simon stepped in an exhibition in the cemetery of St. Peter in Chains in Turin, painting and conjuring ghosts aleggianti in that mysterious atmosphere. All this while remaining true to his nature, as we said at the beginning, is joyful, generous, open to the other, in love with life and everything that gives life, beginning with his beloved mother.
