Opens on December 20 at 17 pm, in the exhibition hall of the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice at Magazzino del Sale n°3, the fourth of the five stages exhibition of contemporary art "ART IN PORT - Coexistence: for a new Adriatic koinè", traveling exhibition organized as part of the European Project "arTVision", which will involve the artists of the five partner countries: Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy (Veneto and Apulia).
That of Venice is the penultimate stage for the exhibition Coexistence that arrives in Italy after the appointments of Tirana (Albania), Cetinje (Montenegro), Rijeka (Croatia). The exhibition, which ends January 17, 2015, will move later, on January 31, in Polignano a Mare for the "grand finale".
Cooperate to give voice to the art, to multiply the visions, to build a story of many voices, connected in a large network Adriatic and transmedia: this is the spirit of Coexistence: for a new adriatic Koine, during his journey through 'Adriatic.
The exhibition is part of the project "arTvision - A.LIVE ART CHANNEL" funded under the European IPA Adriatic CBC 2007/2013, with the intent to mobilize and connect the creative energy of young artists invited to participate as protagonists. It is a pilot project led by the Region of Puglia - Area Policies for the Promotion of the Territory, of Knowledge and Talent, with technical support from Film Commission, which involves: Foundation Pino Pascali Museum of Contemporary Art; Veneto Region - Section Culture and Entertainment; Academy of Fine Arts in Venice; Ministry of Culture of Montenegro; Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje - Montenegro; Ministry of Culture of Albania; University of the Arts in Tirana - Albania; County Resort-Montana - Croatia; Kanal RI - Croatia.
The idea promoted is to structure a close dialogue between nations through cross-border operation in order to trace the cultural commonalities and discontinuity between peoples who share the mare nostrum, the Mediterranean Adriatic.
An exhibition, five declensions. Location and different territories to affirm the concept of a new Koine language to translate territorial identities in the dynamics of the relationship, of openness and exchange.
The artists involved come from different geographical areas and coordinated by a team of curators headed by Pino Pascali Museum Foundation in close collaboration with the coordinators of the project partners, met to discuss common issues such as stories and narratives, myths and legends, spirituality and religions , migration and nomadism, to arrive at an idea of strengthening the European common root too often forgotten.
The curator of the exhibition is provided by and Gaetano Martino Scavezzon Mainenti. The artists of the Venetian selection are Giulia Maria Belli, present with a video animation modeling matter of painting on time audiovisual; Chiara Bugatti, which proposes a refined installation that takes its origin from the Adriatic; Enej Gala, Slovenian artist was in Venice for a few years, and with undeniable wisdom pictorial investigates the monstrous irony of standardization; Annamaria Maccapani, brilliant young sculptor who, starting from the problems of the exchange and communication, monumentalizes a childish game through a plastic perfection almost baroque; Francesca Piovesan, present in the form of matter with a further disconcerting photography: adhesive tape treated with silver nitrate through which is "photographed" the entire surface of a body.
