Gigi Bon. World's futures

Gigi Bon the personal Venetian artist, captures the intriguing concept leap to All the World's Futures around which develops the 56th Biennale to present their latest creations to life ready. As always, these new works are highly symbolic and closely related to the history, not only the artist's personal, but also to that of Venice, a city which the Bon is inextricably linked.
Works that take us back to the mythology and the origins of the world, but also to a more intimate path linked to memories and emotions of this unusual artist.

While Artemisia, is proudly displayed at the MET, the refined and starred restaurant at the Hotel Metropole, the studio-gallery MIRABILIA the artist presents new works that the theme All the World's Futures has inspired. A series of sculptures ready to face the future, but with strong roots anchored to the past, to tell a long way between dream and reality, between imagination and creation.

Harmony, a play of hands, which multiply in the installation of an antique mirror. Hands as fascinating primary tools of creativity. Hands that mimic the gesture of the legendary "God the Creator", the sovereign consciousness that create 'the world. Artist's hands that shape the work, not to mention the countless symbolism of the manner of putting his fingers: ".... the hands speak with an eloquent silence !!! ...." Hands intersect, blend with the shell, a mysterious object, that Gigi Bon uses often in his accomplishments. The shell a marine treasure that presents us with multiple forms. Often adorned with spirals and stripes that recall the evoluzone and growth and that conceal an inner dream. For the artist they are key because they are reminiscent of the spiral magical, enchanted maze, the dream and at the same time marine life evokes the hidden life of our inner world, of consciousness.

They are part of the new born two beautiful turtles, a subject dear to the BON that goes back to ancient Chinese mythology who wants the turtle as the mother of all animals and alchemy that considers primordial matter to which the spirit has to tie in order to embody Universe , a precious plaque cornea partially covered and finished in bronze that rests on four feet, two men and two women. A sculpture that echoes the Renaissance concept of the heavens and the artist makes a journey of man in the whole world between reality and artifice.

Universal metamorphosis, the second turtle created by a beautiful fossil tortoise presented by the artist in a transformation with flakes of sea turtle and resting on two legs and two feet of baby lion, even a merger or possibly an evolution to search of better worlds. Symbiosis? A realization of great strength and courage that is the violence of birth-creation, where the umbilical cord wraps around the Rhino, inextricably linking, until his death, in the physical, in the mind, the heart to the head of the mother. A work that emphasizes the relationship of intimacy and harmony that is established between the parent and the newborn
Icarhino Icarus, flies, like Icarus to discover the world and the future holds for us

The Bestiary of Gigi Bon transfigures reality and arrichendosi symbol looks like a surreal vision. Visions that reproduce a past that will be relived, perhaps, in the future. The reality is denied, there is, but shrouded in mystery and magic, in a succession of possible and impossible scenarios of the future mixed with any disaster of consumerism

It should be remembered that the sculptures of Gigi Bon are all made with the ancient technique of lost wax and are all unique works.
