House of the Knights of Rhodes
Its entrance is on the other side of the building, but it can be admired fully from the forums. It is the ancient home of the roman priory of the order of the Knights of Saint John in Jerusalem, founded in 1048 and also known as the Knights of Rhodes and the Knights of Malta. The house is actually a small medieval castle from the twelfth century set in the Forum of Augustus and renovated in the 1400s by Marco Barbo, nephew of Pope Paul II.
