It was erected from 1603 upon designs by Ascanio Vitozzi in memory of the holy communion (1453). The baroque facade is enriched by statues by Bernardo Falconi (1671), while Benedetto Alfieri decorated the interior in black and red marbles, which were damaged during the bombings of 1943. The high altar by Francesco Lanfranchi (1664), the carved confessionals and the choir loft are exquisite. A stone commemorates the place where the miracle happened.
