Grand Staircase
It was Victor Emmanuel II who had the monumental marble structure decorated with a complex of sculptures and stucco decoration (vases on the balustrade, atlases and busts of the Dukes of Savoy on the walls).
The Equestrian monument to Victor Amadeus I of Andrea Rivalta by 1619 while the other sculptures in the niches are all nineteenth century: among them stand the statues of Emanuele Filiberto (Santo Varni), Carlo Alberto (Vincenzo Vela) and Thomas of Savoy Carignan (John Albertoni).
To complete the decorative paintings celebrating the Savoy dynasty, by various authors, and the ceiling fresco by Paolo Emilio Morgari.
