DESCRIZIONE:
It is one of the oldest and richest museums of its kind founded by Carlo Emanuele III who in 1731 ordered the Royal Arsenal for the artillery students of the Savoy kingdom.
It is accessed from the keep of the destroyed military citadel, where the Monument to Pietro Micca by Giuseppe Cassano (1864) is located. The Mastio della Cittadella hosts an exhibition dedicated to the technological evolution of weapons with particular reference to artillery and with particularly important nuclei of sidearms and firearms. The title of the exhibition is: "A leap into history...from stone to bronze to rifled cannon"
