DESCRIZIONE:
It was made between 1903 and 1907 by Vincenzo Micheli and Enrico Ristori as a replacement of suspension bridge Maria Teresa (1840). The structure, laying on three arches and with its heads decorated by bronze statues, was part of the urban planning programme developed near the end of the XIX century to provide the city with areas for recreation and leisure time, like nearby Rowing Club Caprera. Across the Po river is elegant Borgo Crimea, a late XIX-century residential district, on whose namesake place the Obelisk to the Crimea Expedition (1888) stands.
