- Address: Vicolo dell'atleta

DESCRIZIONE:
Near the Basilica di Santa Cecilia in Trastevere, is this small street, which owes its name to the finding in 1844 of the celebrated statue of Apoxyomenos, a roman copy of a work by Lisippo depicting anathlete cleaning himself, today at the Vatican Museums. At number 14 of the same street, it is also possible to see a medieval home (XIII-XIV), which has an inscription on a small column in the small loggia in hebrew, which allowed it to be identified as one of Rome's ancient synagogues.
