Tabularium
This held the State records of ancient Rome, which were etched onto bronze tablets (tabulae). Today, it may be entered from the Capitoline Museums, since the Senate Building was built into its structure during the middle ages, yet its facade and arches (78 B.C.) are visible from the Roman Forum behind the Capitoline.
