Head of Costantine
Historical Center
- Location: Head of Costantine
- Date: 300 B.C.
Placed in the courtyard of the Palazzo dei Conservatori together with other fragments in marble belonging to the colossal statue, approximately 12 meters in height. Originally, it was to be kept in the Basilica of Maxentius-Constantine or near the Capitoline hill. It is probable that the bust was made of bronze and for this reason was not found with the other remains of the statue as it was probably melted down during the Middle Ages.
