Judith
The depiction of Judith with the decapitated head of Holofernes is composed according to the rules of portraits of the beginning of the 1500s. Tradition holds that the woman's face is that of Rosa da Scardona, concubine of the painter, who, educated with Giovanni Bellini became famous for opening a society with the more famous Giorgione.
