The Red Tower

Giorgio De Chirico

Peggy Guggenheim Collection

DESCRIZIONE:
This work forms part of a series of metaphysical paintings by De Chirico in which he chose to paint town squares transformed into empty and silent landscapes; alienating views that show, as the artist himself writes, the other aspect of reality, the “spectral or metaphysical that only rare individuals can see in moments of clairvoyance and metaphysical abstraction.”
