Dialogues #1 - Notturno domestico. Davide Dormino and Silvia Giambrone

With Notturno Domestico, exhibition by Davide Dormino and Silvia Giambrone, Spazio Y inaugurates Dialogues, a new cycle of exhibitions which, from time to time, will promote the dialogue between two artists in the production of site-specific works specifically conceived for the roman space.

Through two installations that face each other, the artists present different ways of looking at relational dynamics, triggering a critical reflection on the limits, risks and contradictions that characterize human relationships.

The installation of Giambrone reconstructs a domestic interior that, in continuity with a line of research already started by the artist, becomes a starting point to investigate through everyday objects the political dimension of intimacy and subterranean forms of subjugation.

In the work of Dormino, where executive physicality becomes central, a deep blue is the background of a lead frame that, through the artist's intervention, becomes a metaphor of the relationship with the other than self.

On the occasion of the opening a limited edition of silk-screen prints will be presented as result of the collaboration of the two artists.
