Meals of Artist starts on the conviction that art and culture are nourishment for the company and for this reason it is necessary to support a project that artists feeding them, in the true sense of the word.
The project takes the form of a contest (open until August 31) to select twenty participants, strictly over 35 (in total contrast to the competitions that usually cater to a target much younger) who will receive food vouchers to be used in various eateries in Turin.
The project also includes a series of cultural events: meetings, debates and panel discussions on subjects such as the artist and institutions, culture, and public / private financing, the financial support of the artists, the definition of the artist (cultural / professional), the legislation rights / protections of artists.
The intent is to create a dialogue with the institutions recalling those principles that form part of the Recommendation dell'UNESCO of 1980 and subsequent Resolutions of the Parliament Europeodel, 1999 and 2007, which recognize the art a vital role in the development of man and society.
In addition, through a series of interviews with artists, critics, historians and all actors in the field of art in general will try to find a way to define the professional artist and determine the recipients of tax relief measures and / or income support, necessary for supporting creativity is recognized by UNESCO by the EU.
