Silvano Pupella. Subway extractions

Who observes with interest the blue lines in parking lots or those for the bus stop or the irregularity of the cobblestones? Silvano Pupella has learned to dwell on what we consider generally so devoid of interest from not even notice it. So, with their eyes on the road and on the sidewalks of Turin, Milan and Paris captures the colors of the asphalt, little details invisible to most. He, however, able to grasp seemingly trivial details that unexpectedly come to life in the exhibition held at the Metropolitan Abstractions Mirafiori Galerie in collaboration with the Art Gallery Davico, under the artistic direction of Carlotta Canton. Silvano Pupella photography is creating unexpected forms thanks to the vision of unusual objects of everyday urban. An approach perfectly represented by color shots of the series Street Art, expression of a search for underground art "random" which results in contrasts, color and material in a play of colors curious and often surprising. "I went in search of urban involuntary geometries that are created spontaneously on the asphalt - says Silvano Pupella -. I am fascinated by abstract forms, compositions nonexistent, geometries ghost. " Next to these shots, on display at Galerie Mirafiori also photographs of the series in black and white Fragments Urbani that capture forms improbable because, this time, to details like the rounded stones of Parco Dora, the threads of light, a glass window shattered or the bicycle racks.
