Saturday February 7 at 11 am, in collaboration with the National Library of Turin, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities - Regional Directorate for Cultural Heritage and Landscape of Piedmont and with the sponsorship of the City of Turin, opens the exhibition "The contemporary engraving in the Tre Venezie", organized by the National Engravers Contemporaries.
Again at the prestigious National University Library of Turin, this exhibition starts the path of activity in 2015, in correspondence with the second anniversary of the birth of the Association (February 2013 - February 2015).
The exhibition presents a survey on research in contemporary engraving Tre Venezie. Here are exhibited the works of twenty-six artists of the northeast, operating in Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia. Artists include historical faculty of engraving of the Academy of Venice and their students, for many years now established artists. Alongside works made with traditional techniques such as etching, aquatint, drypoint, burin, the mezzotint and woodcut, will showcase works characterized by new research and experimentation. Also on display are some art books.
The need to inform the general public on current research in the field engraver is the primary purpose of the Association who joined the show, even in this case, an educational workshop with lectures on printing techniques. A practical demonstration of engraving and printing will be held during the opening of the exhibition by the shareholder printmaker Elizabetta Viarengo Miniotti.
For the duration of the exhibition some works will be exhibited in galleries and libraries of the historical center.
The list of galleries and libraries that will exhibit works by artists of the Association will be published on the page facebook.com/incisoricontemporanei.
