ZOOMaginario 2014. Fantastic bestiary: a parallel and impossible zoo

After the success of 2013, the bio-park ZOOM Turin presents "ZOOMaginario 2014 - Fantastic Bestiary: a parallel and impossible zoo, a project that allows 12 emerging artists to see their artwork displayed inside the bio-park and after the event Paratissima* .
ZOOMaginario, curated by Francesca Campora and Daniele Ratti, artistic direction Paratissima, is an exhibition of futuristic, symbolic or mythological sculptures installed in the habitats of the park, founded in 2013 with the aim of promoting contemporary art emerging.
Not only an unusual and original location where you can enjoy contemporary art, but also the possibility for the emerging artists to express their creativity on a particular theme: an unusual wildlife, a company of fantastic and mysterious creatures come to life unexpectedly next to animals, people's daily bio-park, becoming the representation of a "medieval bestiary" realized in a contemporary way.
The animals represented in the works as well accompany the visitor in a world full of symbols and appearances, that fascinates and attracts invited to go beyond the tangible reality, into a dream landscape, in the dimension of imagination.
To mark the occasion a special catalog will also be realized by Carlo Grande .
The artists, who were selected by Francesca Campora and Daniele Ratti together with ZOOM Turin, have made ??the works in April and May and from 12 June until the end of October, it will be possible for all visitors to enjoy within the habitat of the bio-park .
At the end of October 2014 will be selected the work of the 12, which has been able to interpret the theme of the contest and the more it is integrated within the park between animals and guests. This installation will remain stable at ZOOM Turin and the author will receive a fee of € 3,000.00.
