Chapel of Pia Congregazione dei Banchieri e dei Mercanti
The painted decoration on the vault with scenes depicting the Paradise, Prophets, Sybils and Biblical Episodes was made by the Milan painter Stefano Maria Legnani, nicknamed Legnanino (1661-1713), in partnership with his brother Tommaso between 1694 and 1695. The wonderful frames framing the scenes are made by Giovanni Battista and Girolamo Grandi, who also worked with Legnanino on the decorations of Palazzo Carignano.
