Artissima

Artissima is a window onto the most experimental frontier of the visual arts.
In 2014 the fair will feature 194 galleries divided into six major sections: Main Section, which includes the most representative galleries on the international art scene; New Entries, devoted to the most interesting young galleries; Present Future, a by-invitation section comprising solo shows of young international emerging artists; Back to the Future, museum-quality solo exhibitions by artists active in the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s and selected by a jury of renown museums directors and curators; Per4m, a new section devoted to the presentation of 16 performances on a dedicated platform and within the fairground; and Art Editions, which features editioned works, prints and multiples by contemporary artists.
Also this year, Artissima will present the second edition of One Torino curated by Maurizio Cattelan, flanked by Myriam Ben Salah and Marta Papini: a very special and unprecedented show aimed at merging the city and its artistic, historical and architectural heritage within a unique space and event, Palazzo Cavour.
