On November 4th starts the series of presentations of the GAM library by Elena Volpato. The second edition is dedicated to one of the most relevant nucleus of the collection: the production of video art in Italy in the sixties and seventies.
Along with the works already in the catalog, it will be presented new additions and works from various archives.
The opening event on Tuesday 4 November at 18:30, and dedicated to John Anselmo and Gilberto Zorio, two of the artists who took part in the making of Identifications, the historic collection of videos created by Gerry Schum in 1970 to enable young artists the international scene to imagine the video as an expressive language independent, liberated from the common use of documentary.
Zorio and Anselmo will be present at the meeting to comment on the screening of their two works, to tell what interest the video rivestisse for them at that time and the experience of working with Gerry Schum. The two videos will remain on display in the spaces of the library GAM.
