Yantras

Friday, November 7th at 19:30 as part of OtherStage, the performance section of The Others, one of the most interesting off exhibitions in Europe, the space of the esedra of the Ex Carcere Le Nuove in Turin will host Yantras, a choral performance project by Tiziana Contino, Giovanni Gaggia and MonaLisa Tina directed by Gianluca Panareo. The action focuses on the dimension of the encounter deep with each other, on the reciprocity of the plural forms of love and emotional introspection.
The formula of this project is unusual and unprecedented for a trade show, as it is supported by four galleries - Alviani ArtSpace in Pescara, Martina Corbetta in Giussano, mc2 gallery in Milan and Rossmut in Rome - the same art project, in full support and participation .
The artists want to open with the public a moment of reflection and silence as a form of respect and prayer for all the people who have passed and died in carcere "Le Nuove" has always been a place of great suffering and pain.
Each artist will be expressed through a particular performative gesture - an aesthetic element characteristic of his artistic investigation wider - amplified in a rhythm suggestive of change of positions, light and shadow.
Within the project are listed alchemy ancient symbolic elements related to processes of transformation of matter. Among them, the ideal realization of an equilateral triangle inscribed in the circular of the place, suggested by the location of the performers at the three vertices.
A triangle inserted inside a circle has multiple readings of great importance.
It's harmony between body, mind and spirit as a symbol of divinity. It's the structure of society, the powers: legislative, executive and judicial. Also in Freemasonry is the triangle ritual that allows the exchange between the 3 masters point.
Finally Turin, the apex of the triangle of white and black magic.

In a continuum of symbolic interpretations, Yantras want to be the voice of a message of love in a place of suffering.
