Displayed in the rooms on the first floor of the museum, the exhibition presents the work of fifteen Eraldo Mauro, including some made ??for the occasion, which, recreating the interior of a photo lab - the "Darkroom" - aim to investigate the evocative power of color perception through the common thread that ties together chemistry , and glass slide. Like gold of the alchemists, in fact, even the glass is the result of a process of " transmutation of matter" that, through the fire, opaque becomes shiny and transparent.
As in the crucible of the alchemist - athanor, the opaque lead, symbol of the "darkness of the mind", is transformed into shining gold (the "intellectual light" ), in the same way that the sand becomes opaque transparent glass in the crucible of glass master, so, likewise, a subject matte becomes transparent when viewed in a slide. And even Slides Eraldo Mauro thus become "frames" in which it is represented the personal perception of a particular color.
The pieces of this proceeding bright aesthetic , each with dimensions of 24 × 36 cm, contained in a black frame with plexiglass to form large slides of 50×50 cm , representing the daily diary of an experience that the artist in perpetual solitude and then moved to the other with a renewed awareness of a 'transition': the extraordinary and original route of the memory marked by colors that become imperceptible sequence of a personal metamorphosis .
