- Location: Story of St. Cecilia
- Date: 1611 - 1614
The second chapel on the righthand aisle of the church hosts frescoes by the master from Emilia depicting the roman saint. He modelled her features after the Santa Cecilia by Raphael, while the other figures draw upon classical sculpture. The commission came after the discovery of the body of the Saint in the Basilica of Trastevere, named after her. It was the french Cardinal Pierre Polet who chose Domenichino.
