Nu couché
Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli
The work is dated 1917, the year in which the first solo exhibition of Modigliani in Paris was held, immediately closed by the police due to the disdain caused by his scandalous nudes. The peculiar characteristic of this painting, signed in the bottom right-hand corner, is sensuality, showing a woman laying on her side with raised arms and half-closed mouth.
