The forest below, shrouded in darkness, appears peaceful and distant. This bird is frozen in motion, captured over time. Just like the paintings of the Empire of the Light cycle, this work by René Magritte simultaneously represents night and day, capturing the viewer in a dreamlike and suspended moment.
