MASTERS OF LIGHT
Ideal point of contact between the two artists , the use of the luminous element. The diffuse light and intense shades of white, pink and blue that characterize the work of the master of Cappelle sul Tavo generating an almost rarefied , are distorted by a kind of inversion, a coup de théâtre set in the exhibition hall that houses the boy Caravaggio: a production and harvest subdued lighting that emphasize the power of light out of range - from a window clearly reflected on the jug - that illuminates the frightened face of the young protagonist of the portrait. For Spalletti , therefore , the light as an expression of calm and inner peace as opposed to the vision of Caravaggio, in which it is a means to enhance the power and drama of emotions.
