The Reale Società Canottieri Bucintoro with Art&salE, Culture of Bucintoro, presents the photo exhibition "Venetian Algario" algae that run along the canals of Venice seized from the shots of Anna Zemella in their continuous transform of shapes and colors. The exhibition, which consists of about 30 pictures in medium and large format, will be inaugurated on Thursday, February 20th at 18:30 and will be open until March 15.
Accompanies the exhibition, listening to echoes from 'Algario' per clarinet, viola and percussion Claudio Ambrosini .
"Maybe it's because in this city of stone I miss the grass where walking - says the author - my eye goes beyond, where Venice and then you dive in, the water of the canals. It's a spell that takes me for a few years , deeply lodged by or from the edge of the boat , chasing the fleeting forms of Secrets marine meadows. By the passing of dances that accompanied my steps on the surface of the stone, slipped to my feet and attracts me in the silent depths of Venice. This is not a algario real , then , but a algario fantastic, made ??of encounters , disgiungimenti, depth and emersion, between the reflections of the Venetian canals".
Before the inauguration, prof. Bruno Rocca at 17.30, still the seat of the rowers Buccintoro, held a conference on 'Algae of the lagoon of Venice'. The Rock will speak generally of the more than 200 species found in the lagoon and show a part of his rich collection , describing the ways to keep the algae and thus be able to create a collection of its own.
After the first group exhibitions between 2010 and 2011 , dedicated to photographic reportage on India and Nepal, Anna Zemella presented in solo exhibitions, issues concerning its particular link with Venice, the city in which he lives: Trees lagoon, RSC Bucentaur _ Salt warehouses, Venice, 2011; Landmarks, Ferry Gallery , Venice 2012.
