Sebastiano Mauri. The Other

The Michela Rizzo Gallery is pleased to announce the solo exhibition The Other Sebastiano Mauri.
A staff in which Mauri exposes different jobs - from oil paintings to video installations and sculptures - some new, complex and heterogeneous dedicated to the theme of social coexistence. The title of the exhibition nobly expressed the urgency of the message: the Other. The diversity, designed not as a value but as discriminate, the problem of the labels or classifications in social relations, are the themes addressed through a mix, suspended between the sacred and the profane, cults alive, extinct cults, aliens and monsters, men of all culture and origin, iconography compromised mobile identity.
Sebastiano Mauri, Italo-Argentine origin , was born in Milan in 1972. Recently returned to Italy after a long stay between Argentina and the United States lives and works in Milan. He studied film at New York University and art at the Byam Shaw School in London. Visual artist and writer, the debut novel Enjoy the issue, published by Rizzoli in 2012, immediately get excellent results .
