Viasaterna is pleased to present Transizioni. Dal fotografico alle immagini ibride, a group exhibition curated by Mauro Zanchi in collaboration with Aurelio Andrighetto.
Through the works of nine contemporary artists in dialogue with those of two authors from the last century, the exhibition investigates the profound metamorphosis of the photographic medium in the digital and algorithmic age and offers a critical and visual survey of how the contemporary image is redefining its boundaries, between materiality and the ephemeral, between artistic projections and relationships with artificial intelligences.
These dynamics and changes are explored through the works of nine artists: Alessandro Calabrese (Trento, 1983), Giorgio Di Noto (Roma, 1990), Teresa Giannico (Bari, 1985), Camilla Gurgone (Lucca, 1997), Leonardo Magrelli (Roma, 1989), Grace Martella (Lecce, 2006), Luca Massaro (Reggio Emilia, 1991), Alessandro Sambini (Rovigo, 1982), Alberto Sinigaglia (Vicenza, 1984).
In Transizioni, the photographic image appears as a constitutive element within complex works, employed at times to construct environments, animate narratives, create illusions, or deconstruct perception, thereby dissolving medial boundaries.
Opening on Monday 06.10.2025 from 6 to 9pm
