Monday, February 17 2014, 6.30pm, at the Small Gallery Romanian Institute of Culture and Humanistic Research in Venice will take place the opening of the exhibition "Riddles women between myth and everyday life. The deception of the senses" artist from Treviso Orlando Donadio.
The exhibition is an invitation to reflect on the nature of the mysterious female figure, which veils and reveals at the same time, thus creating a mask. The female image, being a myth by the artist in his works, it is no surprise in the most simple of daily life, from which emerges, however, its evocative power. The woman mask which, taken in its essence with a personal figurative style, is the central theme of the exhibition that will take place at the Institute of Romanian Venice during Carnival.
Orlando Donadio was born in 1943 in Treviso , where he lives and works. Part of his exceptional career many solo exhibitions and participations at the VI International Biennial of Art in Barcelona ( 1979) , the Mausoleum Assad in Damascus ( 1997) , the Bischöfliches Dom und Diözesanmuseum of Trier (1998) , the Museum of Abano Terme ( 1999), the International Biennial of Contemporary Art in Florence (1999) , the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence (2000) , the Museum of Science and Technology in Vienna ( 2001), Villa Pisani in Stra (2007) etc. We also remind the staff of 2009 held at the headquarters of the Romanian Venice , which has enjoyed significant visibility.
