"The color-light is in this sense of spatiality archetype to which we belong as a source and as fate, as the home of the look in a pure state, a place of recognition of the distance from the world of appearances, architecture of the mind that has dissolved the boundaries marked by reality.
[...] Just accepting that authentic relationship that painting today asks the reader who wants to talk to this area of freedom still possible, just as it is in front of the painting of Sonia Costantini: vision of what is not seen, the unveiling of a reality urges that the color in matter irreversible and absolute light".
Claudio Cerritelli | 02. Sonia Costantini, Nicolodi, 2005
"I drew all those things because I was a painter. It was an inner necessity. Anyway I could never do without it. I was a painter. I am a painter.
[...] Then a painter what can you do?
[...] A painter can not stop, even if I ran the terrible danger of being discovered, can not, say, witness, not at all! But it was an absolute necessity, a need to ... I do not know how to say ... To play, to represent, to show it to save it for later".
Zoran Music | Jean Clair, Barbarism ordinary. Music in Dachau, Umberto Allemandi & C. 2001
Even Sonia Costantini doesn't stop scoring in the light of the infinite pigment, in the color of his paintings and its precious stones exhibited here for us to always remember "something incredibly, on the enormously tragic, incomprehensible ..." to be here in the passage, in the look, to translate our experience in this life-light.
