DESCRIZIONE:
This Renaissance building was erected in 1491 at the request of cardinal Domenico della Rovere in lieu of the three previous churches (San Giovanni, San Salvatore and Santa Maria de Dopno). The white marble facade has three finely sculpted gates by Meo del Caprino, while the bell tower, erected in 1468, was completed in 1720 by Filippo Juvarra. The interior is divided into three naves and to the right of the choir, behind the high altar, there is access to the chapel of the Holy Shroud.
