Theca Gallery opens the 2016 exhibitions calendar withe the solo show from the Afghan artist Mohsen Taasha Wahidi, the chosen title fort he occasion is Beyond the curtain“. The exhibition is curated by the art historian Marco Meneguzzo who also invited the artist showing three artworks at “The Great Game”, the show presented at Iran National Pavillon hosted at 56° Venice Art Biennale on 2015. Mohsen Taasha Wahidi is an artist worldwide represented by Theca Gallery who was also exhibited by Carolyn Christov Bakargiev at dOCUMENTA(13) in Kassel and Kabul on 2013. The Italian show will merge the artist top artworks from early period till the last production coming from Pakistan. The Milanese show will include works from the series “The Red Curtain” (2010), “In the Seventh Sky” (2012), “Untiled Miniature. Kala Minar” (2014), this last series was exhibited in USA during the show “Art Amongst War: Visual Culture in Afghanistan” curated by Deborah Sutton at Sarnoff College Museum of Arts, New Jersey, 2014.

On February 19th in occasion oft he first birthday of Theca Gallery in Milan will be released the catalog: “Mohsen Taasha Wahidi: beyond the curtain“. The book is a three languages edition (Italian, English, Farsi) edited by the gallery itself fort he the book series “Quaderni Alphabet“.
The exhibition is opened from Tuesday to Friday from 2-8pm and Saturday from 2-7pm. Morning time by appointment only.
